I just find fulfillment in knowing that I created this blog, I'm gonna share some stories whether you like it or not, and of course, share some pics!
Coincidentally enough I already have a great story to share. It was my friends, Liz and Ashy, son's 2nd birthday and not only did I want to see my lil munchkin, but I thought it would be a great opportunity to take some test shots as I iron out the kinks of learning a Canon Rebel T3i (this is not my camera, but a great friend who lent it to me to practice).
So the night started off with lots of kids, loud music, and cupcakes galore! My lil Josiah was whiny ALL night and clinging to my left leg. Lesson #1: Do not bring kids with you on a photoshoot!
Anyhow, between soothing and finding ways to hush my little one, I was able to get some great shots of the party. My vice for the night was LOW LIGHTING! Lesson #2: I need to master the art of shooting in low lighting.
After a few hours of hanging out, laughing, taking pics, and tending to my kids I decided it was time to call it a night! As soon as I got home and put the kids to bed, I started editing some of the pics I took. I quickly realized my settings on some of the pics were off, for example, I shot at ISO 3200 with Shutter at 400... the pics came out grainy and pixeled, not exactly the look I was aiming for!Check out some of the pics and let me know what you think! Happy Birthday Nasir!!
An off camera flash wouldve made the difference.
ReplyDelete@CrunchyVTMommy... I should've put Lesson #3 Learn lighting techniques LOL I just really wanted to shoot without a flash but you're right. Thanks!
